Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: The C1127 College Road & U80328 Burcott Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1127 College Road between the mini roundabout with Barrs Court Road to 'Underwoods' (eastbound only) & the U80328 Burcott Road, from the junction of College Road to the junction of Farriers Way (southbound only).

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal for College Road is via Widemarsh Street onto Station Approach, onto Commercial Road, onto Barrs Court Road, for those affected by the proposal for Burcott Road, the alternative route is Farriers Way onto Newtown Road, onto Widemarsh Street, onto Station Approach, onto Commercial Road, onto Barrs Court Road, onto College Road.

The said closure is required due to a footbridge closure on College Road and the likelihood of danger to the public prior to remedial works taking place. The said closure will come into force on the 4th of July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State).
