BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(RIVER STREET AND FAULKNER STREET, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily;

(i) Prohibit vehicles from proceeding along River Street from a point 95 metres north of its junction with Water Street (the southerly carriageway) for a distance of 30 metres in a north westerly direction,

(ii) Suspend The BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE (RIVER STREET/FAULKNER STREET, ROCHDALE) (ONE WAY WORKING) ORDER 2014 in such that any vehicle will be permitted to travel along River Street (northerly and southerly carriageways) and Faulkner Street in both directions.

The Order is required to facilitate River Street within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 6th July 2026 until 23:59 on the 7th July 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles wishing to access River Street (southerly carriageway) will be via River Street (northerly carriageway) and Faulkner Street.

(WORDWORTH WAY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Wordsworth Way from its junction with Bamford Way, Rochdale for a distance of 152 metres in a westerly direction

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Wordsworth Way from its junction with Bamford Way, Rochdale for a distance of 152 metres in a westerly direction. The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

Access will be maintained for residents.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 6th July 2026 until 17:00 on the 27th July 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Bamford Way, Martlet Avenue, Norden Road, War Office Road & vice versa.

(EDENFIELD ROAD, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Edenfield Road from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Overtown Lane for a distance of 674 metres in an easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Edenfield Road from a point 10 metres west
of its junction with Overtown Lane for a distance of 674 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate Highway resurfacing within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 09:00 hours to 16:30hours Monday to Friday and 08:00hrs until 18:00hours Saturdays and Sundays from on the 22nd July 2026 until the 12th August 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Edenfield Road, Spotland Road, Sandy Lane, Bury Road, Bury and Rochdale Old Road, Bell Lane, Moorgate, Walmersley Road, Manchester Road, Whalley Road, Wood Lane, Bolton Road North, Bury Road, Rochdale Road, Edenfield Road & vice versa.

(ROOLEY MOOR ROAD, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Rooley Moor Road from its junction with Edenfield Road of 710 metres in a notherly direction 

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Rooley Moor Road from its junction with Edenfield Road for a distance of 710 metres.

The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 until 18:00 on any two days between the 20th July to the 7th August 2026 weather dependent, advanced warning signs will be in place before commencement of works with exact start dates.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site.

(BROAD LANE, NEW BROAD LANE,ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Broad Lane and New Broad Lane from its junction
with Oldham Road for a distance of 1092 metres in an easterly and southerly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Broad Lane and New Broad Lane from its junction with Oldham Road for a distance of 1092 metres in an easterly and southerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

The order will be operative from 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours on any two days between the 20th July to the 7th August 2026, weather dependent, advanced warning signs will be in place before commencement of works with exact start dates.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site.

(BIRCH ROAD, WARDLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Birch Road from its junction with Ramsden Road for a distance of 1236 metres in a south easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Birch Road from its junction with Ramsden Road for a distance of 1236 metres in a south easterly direction. 

The Order is required to facilitate Surface Dressing within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 to 18:00 on any 2 days between the 20th July 2026 to the 9th August 2026 weather depending, advance warning signs will be in place 2 weeks before any commencement of works with exact start dates. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Ramsden Road, Wardle Road, Halifax Road (A58), Birch Road & vice versa.

(ELIZABETHAN WAY, MILNROW)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Elizabethan Way, Milnrow from its junction with Buckley Hill Lane for a distance of 722 metres in a southerly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Elizabethan Way, Milnrow from its junction with Buckley Hill Lane for a distance of 722 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order is required to safely facilitate Surface Dressing within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 09:30 to 15:30 weekdays & 08:00 to 18:00 on weekends on any 3 days between the 20th July 2026 to the 9th August 2026 weather depending, advance warning signs will be in place 2 weeks before any commencement of works with exact start dates. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site.
