NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Arlesey between Bates Avenue and Lymans Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable S278 remedial works to speed bump work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 31 July 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Church Lane, Stotfold Rd, A507, Hitchin Rd, Stotfold Rd, Arlesey New Rd, Hitchin Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Rectory Road, Campton between numbers 10 and 57.
This temporary closure is required to enable gas mains replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 July to 11 August. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A507, Greenway, Rectory Road and vice versa.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Shefford:-
1. Ampthill Road, north side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary of No.132 and No.130 Ampthill Road (where the current No Waiting at any time restrictions end), extending in a slightly north-easterly direction for approximately 38 metres.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce Parking for Disabled Badge Holders Only on the following lengths of road in Arlesey:-
1. Church End, south side, from a point 4.7 metres west of the eastern flank wall on No.70 Church Lane, extending in a westerly direction, covering an area approximately 6 metres in length and 2 metres in width.

The proposed waiting restrictions on Potton Road are intended to prevent obstructive parking in the vicinity of the bus stop, ensuring that buses are able to access and depart from the stop without obstruction. This will improve traffic flow along the street, reduce delays to public transport, and enhance visibility and safety for pedestrians and other road users.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Biggleswade:-
1. Potton Road, north side, from a point approximately in line with the midway point of No.33 Potton Road (where the existing bus stop ends) and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 34 metres.

4. High Street, east side, from a point in line with a point approximately 10 metres northwest of the northern kerb line of Old Barn Close and extending southeasterly for approximately 41 metres.
5. High Street, east side, from a point in line with the a point approximately in line with the shared property boundary between No.56 and No. 64 High Street and extending north for approximately 8 metres. (This restriction will replace the existing H-bar marking and extend slightly beyond its current limits)
6. High Street, east side, from a point approximately 1 metre north of a point approximately in line with the northern flank wall of No.49 High Street and extending south for approximately 8.5 metres.
7. High Street, east side, from a point in line with the shared property boundary between No.44c and No.44b and extending south for approximately 9 metres.
8. High Street, west side, from a point in line with the southern flank wall belonging No.44c and No.43 High Street and extending south for approximately 49 metres.
9. High Street, east side, from a point approximately 10 metres north of the northern end of the controlled area of the pedestrian crossing (the zig zags) and extending north for approximately 7 metres.

Reason for proposal: The proposed waiting restrictions are intended to support a highway improvement scheme associated with the adjacent residential development and to support with keeping the dropped kerbs at Nos. 3, 5 and 7 Sutton Mill Road clear. The restrictions are necessary to prevent obstructive parking, maintain access to properties, and ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic along the road. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on 5 December 2025 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the following lengths of Footpath Nos. 3 and 7, Tempsford has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 14 December 2026: I. Footpath No. 3, Tempsford which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1627 5397 to OS GR TL 1621 5454.
II. Footpath No. 7, Tempsford which extends from OS GR TL 1613 5416 to OS GR TL 1613 5421.
These temporary closures are required as part of a bridge deck is damaged and needs repairing. The closures are expected to take place from 15 June 2026 for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SANDY: FOOTPATH NO. 38 AND MOGGERHANGER: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 10) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above Order made on 19 June 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert Footpath No. 38, Sandy and part of Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger as described below.
The length of Footpath No. 38, Sandy to be stopped up extends from its junction with the highway extent of the Great North Road (A1) at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1639 4948 in a west-south-westerly direction for approximately 163 metres to terminate at its junction with Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger and the SandyMoggerhanger parish boundary at OS GR TL 1623 4942.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger to be stopped up extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1623 4942 in a south-easterly direction for approximately 8 metres then continues in an east-north-easterly direction for approximately 2 metres crossing a tributary where there is no bridge to terminate at its junction with Footpath No. 38, Sandy and the Sandy-Moggerhanger parish boundary at OS GR TL 1623 4942.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 38, Sandy to be created extends from its junction with the highway extent of the Great North Road (A1) at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1639 4949 in a generally west-south-westerly direction for approximately 153 metres to OS GR TL 1625 4942 then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 21 metres to OS GR TL 1624 4943 the continues in a generally west-south-westerly direction for approximately 8 metres crossing a bridge to terminate at its junction with Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger and the SandyMoggerhanger parish boundary at OS GR TL 1623 4943.
The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.
The length of Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 10, Moggerhanger at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1623 4942 in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 5 metres crossing a bridge to terminate at its junction with Footpath No. 38, Sandy and the Sandy-Moggerhanger parish boundary at OS GR TL 1623 4943.
The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.
