HIGHWAYS – in the city of CANTERBURY
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF CANTERBURY) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT NO 16) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to amend the Kent County Council (Various Roads, District of Canterbury) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2023 by introducing new or varying existing parking and waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road in the Canterbury district:

Full details are contained in the draft order which, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the order, maps showing the locations and a copy of the orders which will be amended by the proposed order, may be examined online at canterbury.gov.uk/consultations
If you wish to object to, or support, the proposed changes you should email your response, clearly stating your reasons, to transportation@canterbury.gov.uk or write to the Head of Transport and Environment, Canterbury City Council, 14 Rose Lane, Canterbury, CT1 2UR. Your submission must be received by noon on 20 July 2026.
