What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
U65206- Green Lane- Bromyard, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U65206- Green Lane- Bromyard, approx 550mtrs west of junction with A44. Grid Ref: 362979/254480. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1116 onto the A44 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to new ducting and tree cutting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 20th of July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 8 days (08-17.00hrs).
