Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clay Hill Road, Vange in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Codnham Straight for a distance of approximately 165m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st July 2026 for 43 nights (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20117947154 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footbridge refurbishment works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Clay Hill Road, Timberlog Lane, Broadmayne, Southernhay and vice versa (following one way at Great Oaks/Linkway).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Clare Road for a distance of approximately 465m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th July 2026 for 37 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ50292082935/AZ50236000409 – Cadent Gas Ltd) (works to be in phases). & (Station Approach, Billericay) (Temporary Introduction No Right Turn) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Radford Way, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon (eastbound only), from its junction with Radford Crescent to its junction with Stock Road a distance of approximately 535m.

  2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Right Turn’ restriction from Station Approach into Radford Way for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2026 for 21 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001484004 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Tye Common Road, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tye Common Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon from its junction with Wiggins Lane for a distance of approximately 350m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st July 2026 for 20 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30060162522 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Walthams, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Ashlyns to its junction with Walthams Place a distance of approximately 35m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2404747 – Essex County Council). (Temporary Introduction of a 40 MPH Speed Restriction)

Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction in that length of A132 Burnham Road, Rettendon/South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from both of its junctions with Rettendon Turnpike to both of its junctions with Fen Roundabout a distance of approximately 3770m in both directions. The speed restriction is scheduled to continue on from 17th June 2026 for 519 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20153094684 & EP20153094685 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The speed restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(London Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

    1. To temporarily close that length of London Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Langdon Road to its junction with Vernon Avenue a distance of approximately 170m.

  1. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 13 nights (19:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406352 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while traffic signal renewal works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via London Road, Carpenters Arms Roundabout, Chelmsford Road, Rawreth Lane, Hullbridge Road, Down Hall Road, London Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Oxford Road, Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &

Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

    1. To temporarily close that length of Oxford Road, Rochford in the District of Rochford from its junction with Ashingdon Road for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction.

  1. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2026 for 28 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02246036982 – Portakabin). The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while temporary Classroom delivery works are undertaken by Portakabin.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.5) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

    1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in schedule to this Order.

  1. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 25th June 2026; exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location, and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
