(OXFORD CITY – VARIOUS ROADS) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.7) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that on 22 June 2026 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 27 June has the effect of removing Disabled Persons Parking Places (DPPPs) as shown in table A below, providing new DPPPs as shown in table B, and relocating a DPPP as shown in table C:

The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford City – Various Roads) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2026 is further amended as necessary, updating Map Tiles: EJ61, EK60, EK62, EL62, EM68, EN68, EP67, EQ65, ER64, ER73, ES64, ES72, ES73, ET64, ET71, EV71, EV72, EV73, EW73, EX68, EX72, EY72, EZ65, EZ66, FA65, FB67, FC66, FC67, FE70, FE73, FF69, FF72, FF74, FG72, FG73, & FG74 in the process. Administrative amendments are also made to the confirmed mapping locations for Disabled Persons Parking Places approved & implemented in June 2025 – which had previously been omitted. Additionally, the two DPPPs on Stile Road off London Road (in the layby adjacent to the retail premises) have also been re-inserted having been omitted. There are no changes to what is currently marked on the roads in respect of these bays. Finally, in Church Road, Marston the ‘Double Yellow Lines’ adjacent to St Nicholas Church will be removed from the mapping, with those temporary restrictions having been added by mistake during the consolidation process.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 22 June 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose. (OXFORD CITY – VARIOUS ROADS) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the proposals – in accordance with parking policy & planning permissions – is to amend the eligibility of the following properties to apply for Residents and/or Visitors Parking Permits as follows:

1. Headington Quarry – include No.1 Quarry Road in the list of properties eligible to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits,

2. Jericho – exclude the three new flats at No.40 Walton Crescent from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits.

3. Central Area (A) – exclude the student accommodation at Nos.6-25 Pusey Lane & Nos.19-21 St John Street from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits (will remain eligible to apply residents’ visitor permits only).

The proposals will further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford City – Various Roads) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2026.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 24 July 2026. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (EAST CHALLOW, CORNHILL LANE BOAT NOS. 196/3/10, 30 & 40) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND CARRIAGES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that on 22 June 2026 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Cornhill Lane in East Challow is a series of joined BOATs (Byways Open to all Traffic) and highly vulnerable to damage. This order, which comes into force on 29 June prohibits motor vehicles & horse drawn carriages with four or more wheels and wider than 1.5m [4ft 11in] all year round from using Cornhill Lane between its junction with the A417 Faringdon Road to the north, and the B4507 Lockton Road to the south. This is due to previous continual damage caused by motorised vehicle. Use will continue to be permitted for pedestrians, cycles, horses, disabled persons on wheelchairs and powered mobility conveyances, and for access by agricultural land users and highway maintenance vehicles and refuse collection.

Additionally, motorcycles will still be permitted to use the route, however this will be reviewed after 12 months.

Appropriate signage will be displayed at all access points to inform byway users.
