(PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANYTIME) AND (RESIDENT ONLY PARKING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Council intends to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 45, 46 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is as set out in the Schedules below.
A copy of the draft Order, plan and statement of reasons can be inspected on the Council's Internet Website https://www.npt.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders-tros
Any objections should be submitted in writing, setting out the reasons thereof, to reach the Head of Engineering and Transport, The Quays, Baglan Energy Park SA11 2GG by 21st July 2026.

SCHEDULES
Schedule 1 - Revocation
1.1 Any existing residents parking orders, limited waiting orders, prohibition of waiting at any time orders and prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading at any time orders are hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the lengths and sides of roads set out in the following Schedules of this Order.
Schedule 2 - No Waiting, Loading or Unloading At Any Time
2.1 New Road, Skewen (South Side)
From its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 2 metres in an easterly direction.
2.2 New Road, Skewen (South Side)
From its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a westerly direction
2.3 High Street, Skewen (East Side)
From its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 16 metres in a southerly direction.
2.4 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From its junction with New Street for a distance of approximately 18 metres in a southerly direction.
Schedule 3 - No Waiting At Any Time
3.1 High Street, Skewen (East Side)
From its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 202 metres in a northerly direction.
3.2 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 16 metres in a northerly direction.
3.3 Old Road, Skewen (North Side)
From its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 11 metres in a westerly direction.
3.4 Old Road, Skewen (North East Side)
From its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 19 metres in a south easterly direction
Schedule 4 - Residents Only Parking
4.1 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From a point approximately 16 metres north of its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 21 metres in a northerly direction.
4.2 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From a point approximately 62 metres north of its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 26 metres in a northerly direction.
4.3 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From a point approximately 18 metres south of its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 52 metres in a southerly direction.
Schedule 5 - Limited Waiting, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, Permit Holders Only or 2 Hours No Return Within 2 Hours
5.1 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From a point approximately 37 metres north of its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 24 metres in a northerly direction.
5.2 High Street, Skewen (West Side)
From a point approximately 70 metres south of its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 60metres in a southerly direction.
