What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 40550 WOLFORD ROAD (TODENHAM PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 40550 Wolford Road from outside of the property known as ‘Glebe Farm Bungalow’ to outside of the property known as ‘the Chicken Shed’ for a distance of approximately 69 metres.

The reason for the closures is to allow for signage works.

The said road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 on 30th June 2026 only or until the works are completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Alternative Route: As signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained as there is no viable safe route through the works area. DATED 25th June 2026. TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400503 LOWER FARM SAINTBURY TO CAMPDEN LANE (SAINTBURY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400503 Lower Farm Saintbury to Campden Lane from outside of the property known as ‘Orchard Cottage’ to outside of the property known as ‘Middle Hill Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 119 metres. The reason for the said closure is for sewer repair works.

The said road is expected to be closed on from 2nd July 2026 until 3rd July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures is for a water pipe replacement scheme.

All of the above said roads may be subject to a full 24hr a day closure.

However, notwithstanding the above, the said roads are expected to be closed, during various times, on a rolling programme, commencing 7th July 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. The Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 4th January 2027.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY HRG 4 (GREAT RISSINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Bridleway HRG 4 in the Parish of Great Rissington from its junction with the road The Old Bakehouse to St Johns Church and then extending in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 80 metres to a point at the north eastern corner of the ‘L’ shaped building.

The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction works are completed.

The said Order will come into force on the 19th January 2026 and was expected to close until the 19th July 2026. However, the works have still not been completed, and the Secretary of State has granted an extension until 19th July 2027 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest. Alternative Route – as indicated on plan. Emergency Service access and pedestrian access to adjoining premises will be maintained.
