The reason for the said closures is for water pipe renovation.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme, commencing 13th July 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force.
Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect.
This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 2nd September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date then the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NTU 46
(TETBURY UPTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath described in the Schedule below;

Part of Public Footpath NTU 46 in the town of Tetbury and the Parish of Tetbury Upton is to be temporarily closed to users from a point of approximately 95 metres from Cirencester Road in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 216 metres to its point at a fenced path.
The said closure is necessary to ensure public safety during development works. This temporary closure Order came into force on 19th January 2026 and was expected to end on 19th July 2026. However, the works have still not been completed, and the Secretary of State has granted an extension until 19th January 2028 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.
Alternative Route – as indicated on plan. Emergency Service access and pedestrian access to adjoining premises will be maintained.
