Yarnton, Sandy Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 June 2026

Coming into force: 29 June 2026

This Order is being introduced because of fibre broadband cabling works which are anticipated to be completed by 7 July 2026. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Sandy Lane between the junction of the University of Oxford Begbroke Science Park and No.88. The closure will operate between the hours of 8am to 6pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic will be signposted locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. Upper Heyford, Camp Road

Coming into force: 1 July 2026

This Order is being introduced because of installing 1st leg of rising main as part of the overall scheme for David Wilson Homes – Heyford Springs which are anticipated to be completed 31 December 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Camp Road, OX25 5LS from proposed site entrance of Heyford Springs past the entrance to Duvall Park Homes located off Heyford Leys. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Camp Road, Station Road, B4030, Road towards Camp Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18199/AC)
