What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
MAYBURY ROAD, HAREWOOD AVENUE, FRANCES BRADY WAY, HOPEWELL ROAD AND MARFLEET LANE (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce an extension of the 20mph zone thereby creating a safer environment for the users of the new facility.
The purpose of the Order is to revise the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for Maybury Road, Harewood Avenue, Frances Brady Way, Hopewell Road and Marfleet Lane for the 20mph zone so that the newly installed Toucan crossing is located within the 20mph zone thereby creating a safer environment for the users of the new facility.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

If you wish to object or make any representations to the proposed Order, you should write to Legal Services at Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull. HU1 2AA (ref: FO/39800-1531), specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 22nd July 2026.

In submitting an objection, it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be placed on file with the Council in order that they can contact you directly to address the issues raised.
