What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

FOOTPATH 1 CHAPELTOWN (PART) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using part of footpath 1 Chapeltown referred to in the Schedule below due to repairs being carried out on the bridge that crosses Cadshaw Brook at the western end of Turton and Entwistle Reservoir.

The Order becomes effective on the 2nd of July 2026 for a period of six months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
