(PLAINS LANE, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Plains Lane, Marsden to the side of property No. 25 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dirker Bank Road, Dirker Drive, Dirker Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 17 July 2026 between 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(THORPE LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Thorpe Lane, Almondbury from a point outside property no. 21 to a point outside property no. 15 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Thorpe Lane, Northgate, Southfield Road, Ings Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 14 July 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(FENAY LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this 

Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Fenay Lane, Almondbury from a point outside property no. 7 to a point outside property no. 11 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Northgate, Southfield Road, Penistone Road, Fenay Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 14 July 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 

(TYAS LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Tyas Lane, Slaithwaite from its junction with Bradshaw Lane to a point outside property no. 1

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available.

Access maintained for residents only.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 15 July 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 

(UPPER HOUSE ROAD, HADE EDGE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Upper House Road, Hade Edge from a point outside Upper House Farm to a point to the side of Old Upper House Farm 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Gate, Little Cake, Scholes Moor Road, Penistone Road, Strines Moor Road, Upper House Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 14 July 2026 and remain in force until 16 July 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BURNT PLATTS LANE/LAUND ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Burnt Platts Lane/Laund Road, Slaithwaite from a point outside The Piggery to its junction with Intake Lane 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Laund Road, Intake Road, Tiding Field Lane, Moor Side Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 16 July 2026 and remain in force until 17 July 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GREEN SLACKS LANE/O’COT LANE, SCAMMONDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Green Slacks Lane/O’cot Lane, Scammonden from a point outside Green Slacks Farm to a point outside Delph Cottage 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Green Slacks Lane, Low Platt Lane, Chapel Lane, Pinfold Lane, Hey Lane, New Hey Road, O’cot Lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 17 July 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST JOHN’S ROAD/BECK ROAD, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Huddersfield:_

St John’s Road - from its junction with Castlegate to Beck Road

Beck Road - from Castlegate to Rook Street

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Castlegate to Beck Road:-
Diversion 1 - via off-slip onto Bradford Road, Bradford Road, Beck Road.

Diversion 2 - via Castlegate, Castlegate Loop,
Fitzwilliam Street, New North Road, Edgerton Road, Blacker Road, St John’s Road.

Beck Road:-
via the unaffected length of Beck Road, Willow Lane and vice versa.

Castlegate to Rook Street:-
Diversion 1 - Traffic turning right off Castlegate - via Unna Way, Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate, Castlegate, Viaduct Street, John William Street.

Diversion 2 - Traffic turning left off Castlegate - via Castlegate, Trinity Street, Fitzwilliam Street, Besancon Bridge, Fitzwilliam Street, John William Street. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 1 August 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SPRING LANE, NEW MILL, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Spring Lane, New Mill from a point approximately 58 metres east of Butterley Lane to a point approximately 110 metres from its junction with Penistone Road 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Spring Lane, Sheffield Road, Penistone Road, Spring Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 16 July 2026 and remain in force until 17 July 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(KNOWLE LANE, MELTHAM, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Knowle Lane, Meltham from a point outside Meltham Industrial Estate to a point outside Knowle Top Poultry Farm 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Knowle Lane, Acre Lane, Thick Hollins Road, Wilshaw Road, Lower Greave Road, Knoll Lane, Bradshaw Road, Moorbottom, Meltham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 15 July 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(DEAN BROOK ROAD, NETHERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dean Brook Road, Netherthong from its junction with Deanhouse Lane to a point outside property No. 62

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Dean Brook Road, Deanhouse Lane, Upper Hagg Road, Oldfield Road, Miry Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 29 June 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH HUD/336, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Public Footpath HUD/336, Huddersfield from tis junction with Brunswick Street to its junction with Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield Town Centre 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works. Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Fitzwilliam Street, John William Street, St George’s Square, St George’s Street, Westgate, New North Parade, Brunswick Street and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 1 July 2026 and remain in force until 30 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).

(YEW TREE ROAD, BIRCHENCLIFFE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yew Tree Road, Birchencliffe, Huddersfield from its junction with Halifax Road to a point approximately outside property no.119 Yew Tree Road 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Yew Tree Road, Birchington Drive, Birchington Avenue, Halifax Road and vice versa.

The closure which came into force on Monday, 15 September 2025 has been extended to remain in force until 23 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
