ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(A)

THE A30 TRUNK ROAD (BODMIN) 
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A30 trunk road in the County of Cornwall to allow geotechnical and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 13 July 2026 and be completed by 10 October 2026.

The effect of the Order would be to:
(a) impose a temporary mandatory 60 mph speed limit on the A30 westbound from 1050 metres to 1750 metres west of Lostwithiel Road overbridge;

(b) authorise the closure of the laybys adjacent to the A30 westbound located 1400 metres and 2500 metres west of Carland Cross Junction. During the closures, traffic would be diverted to other laybys.

The closures (which would not apply to emergency services, traffic officer or works vehicles) speed limits, and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order would come into force on 11 July 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
