MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 149793857 : The City of Manchester (Lever Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Lever Street between Faraday Street and Warwick Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Faraday Street, Newton Street, Houldsworth Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane to The Hive Building. It is expected that the works will be in progress on12th July 2026between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 with a back-up date of 26th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 12th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 29th June 2026.

ORDER NO. MCC000 150259464 : The City of Manchester (Fairfield Street & Whitworth Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary No waiting and No Loading - Buses Exempt) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular on Fairfield Street (3x Bays under the railway bridge) & Whitworth Street (7x Bays between London Road and Minshull Street South). The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate Bus Replacement Services.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 13th July 2026 to 13th December 2026. The order shall come into operation on 13th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
