What is happening?

Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition Traffic and Bus Lane (Suspension) Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; 

(a) Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford Bus Lane as extends from its junction with (D4005) Recreation Road and for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction along Woodbridge Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford (Bus Lane) (No.1) Order 2021” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice; (c) Suspend “Schedule 2” of “The Surrey County Council Onslow Street (A322) and Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford (Amendment of Bus Lane and Bus Lanes) Order 2005” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.

Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley. 

Alternative Route: (B368) Send Marsh Green, (A247) Send Barns Lane, and (B2215) Portsmouth Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate high voltage reinforcement works for, or on behalf of UKPN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling north westbound on Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford from turning left into (B378) School Road. 

Alternative Route: (1) Feltham Hill Road, (B377) Feltham Road, and Feltham Hill Road. 

This temporary traffic Order is required to facilitate remedial works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carriageway dressing/treatment/surfacing, and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

Schedule
1. the entire lengths of D4040 Birch Way, Ash Vale (between Station Road East and Lysons Avenue) and D4040 Station Road East, Ash Vale (between Station Road West and Vale Road). Alternative Route – Station Road West and Lysons Avenue;

2. that length of B3411 Vale Road, Ash Vale which extends from its junction with Heath Vale Bridge Road to its junction with Station Approach. Alternative Route – B2411 Vale Road, B3206 Shawfield Road, A323 Aldershot Road, A331 Blackwater Valley Road, A3011 Lynchford Road, B3166 Lynchford Road, B3166 Lysons Avenue and B2411 Vale Road;

3. the entire length of D44 Queens Road, Brookwood. Alternative Route – D44 Bisley Camp Road, A324 Connaught Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Guildford Road, D31 Queens Road and X44 Queens Road (MoD);

4. that length of C20 The Street, Puttenham which extends from Puttenham Hill to its junction with Seale Lane. Alternative Route – B3000 Puttenham Hill, A31 Hogs Back, A31 Runfold Diversion, C119 The Street, C21 Hogs Back, C21 Elstead Road, C20 Puttenham Road and C20 Seale Lane.
