TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – VARIATION OF DISABLED BADGE HOLDER ONLY PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON HIGH STREET IN HARTLEY WINTNEY, HART
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to vary the existing parking restrictions on High Street in Hartley Wintney so as to implement the following restrictions:
Disabled badge holders only, 2 hours parking, no return within 1 hour
North-west side
Between a point 14 metres south-west of its junction with Monachus Lane and a point 8 metres south-west thereof.
Disabled badge holders only, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm
North-west side
Between a point 74 metres south-west of its junction with Swan Court and a point 3 metres south-west thereof.
1 hour parking, no return within 1 hour, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm
North-west side
(i) Between a point 28 metres south-west of its junction with Monachus Lane and a point 56 metres south-west thereof.
(ii) Between a point 31 metres north-east of its junction with Weatherby Gardens and a point 5 metres north-east thereof.
4 hour parking, no return within 1 hour, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm
North-west side
Between a point 55 metres south-west of its junction with Swan Court and a point 19 metres south-west thereof.
No waiting at any time

(i) Between a point 22 metres south-west of its junction with Monachus Lane and a point 6 metres south-west thereof.
(ii) Between its junction with Weatherby Gardens and a point 31 metres north-east thereof.
(iii) Between a point 36 metres north-east of its junction with Weatherby Gardens and a point 16 metres north-east thereof.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2157/MJB, by Friday 17th July 2026. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Roads, Hart) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025 (Variation No. 4) Order 2026”.
