LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(COLNE ROAD AREA, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and 92 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a prohibition of driving in the following lengths of road:
a) Holbeck Avenue, Burnley, from a point 0.5 metres northwest of its junction with the Centreline of Colne Road for a distance of 3 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) Hurtley Street, Burnley, from a point 0.5 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Colne Road for a distance of 3 metres in a westerly direction.
This prohibition includes an obstruction in accordance with Section 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. Introduce one way traffic in the following lengths of road:
a) Extwistle Street, Burnley, from its junction with Colne Road to its junction with Lee Green Street, southeast to northwest;
b) Hebrew Road, Burnley, from its junction with North Street to its junction with Colne Road in a northeasterly direction;
c) Holbeck Avenue, Burnley, from a point 15 metres northwest of its Centreline junction with Hurtley Street to its Centreline junction with Hurtley Street in south easterly direction;
d) Hurtley Street, Burnley, from its Centreline junction with Holbeck Avenue to its junction with Lee Green Street in a westerly direction;
e) North Street, Burnley, from its junction with Lee Green Street to its junction with Hebrew Road in a southerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
