Albion Street - Temporary Closure For Facilitate Facade Repair Works

Manchester City Council Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): Order No. MCC000150701251: The City of Manchester (Albion Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Albion Street, from Great Bridgewater Street to Whitworth Street West.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate facade repair works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 13th July 2026 to 21st July 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 [Daily].
The order shall come into operation on 13th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
