TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC150319721: The City of Manchester (Spring Gardens, Deansgate Ward)

(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Spring Gardens from King Street to York Street. 

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Spring Gardens, King Street, Brown Street, Booth Street, Fountain Street, Marble Street, York Street. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate defective works reinstatement. 

It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 12th July 2026 only. 

The order shall come into operation on 12th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
