(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 1BH in Burgess Hill from its junction with The Blackthorns, eastwards to a point 10M west of the railway underpass.

The road closure is needed to allow utility cables to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and remain in force until 27 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order an alternative route for pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to the vehicular route under the railway will not be affected by the works. (East Grinstead: Public Bridleway 44BEG)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 44BEG in East Grinstead from a point 180M west of its junction with Imberhorne Lane, westwards for 80M.

The closure of this route is needed to allow works to upgrade the surface of the route to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2026 and remain in effect for 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative period of this Order an alternative route will be provided on land adjacent to the closed section of bridleway.
