(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

On Monday the Fifteenth of June 2026, Argyll and Bute Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.

Schedule – Prohibition of Waiting

Name of Road in Rhu Extent of Restriction
U189 Lineside Walk From a point adjacent to the northwest boundary of number 16 Lineside Walk to a point adjacent to the eastern boundary of number 2 Lineside Walk, a distance of 92 metres or thereby.
U239 Quarry Knowe From its junction with the U189 Lineside Walk to a point adjacent to the northeastern boundary of the electrical substation, a distance of 40 metres or thereby.

Exceptions will apply to a vehicle being used in an emergency for fire and rescue services, ambulance or police purposes. The restrictions imposed by this Order which are required to help facilitate the works will be effective when indicated by signs from 0001 hours on the 24th June 2026 to 2359 hours on the 7th June 2026 or until the works are complete, whichever is the earlier.
