(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 194) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for pole testing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mill Lane, Old Snydale for approximately 75 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mill Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Mill Lane, New Road, Common Side Lane, Wakefield Road, Whinney Lane, Mill Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th June 2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STATION ROAD, HEMSWORTH)
(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER (NO 193) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield have made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:

ROADS AFFECTED: Station Road, Hemsworth from the railway bridge to Royd Moor Lane.

SPEED LIMIT: Temporary 30 MPH speed limit.

PERIOD OF ORDER: From and including 29th June 2026 to 17th July 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(HALL LANE, NORTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 195) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for tree felling to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hall Lane, North Elmsall. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hall Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hall Lane, Doncaster Road, New Lane, Back Lane, Minsthorpe Lane roundabout, A638 (A6201), Doncaster Road, Wrangbrook Lane, Long Close Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th June 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LONG CREST, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 197) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Long Crest, Pontefract for approximately 315 metres between Carleton Crest and Woodland View. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Long Crest.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Carleton Crest, Crest Drive, Woodland View & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th June 2026 to 21st August 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 198) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cromwell Crescent, Pontefract from Harewood Avenue to Olivers Mount. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cromwell Crescent.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fairfax Road, Cromwell Crescent, Olivers Mount & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th June 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(THE GREEN, SOUTH KIRKBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 199) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for sewer lining and patching works to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: The Green, South Kirkby full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of The Green.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, Carr Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st July 2026 to 2nd July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and residents access to be maintained when safe to do so.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DARNING LANE, THORPE AUDLIN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 205) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for tree trimming/ felling to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Darning Lane, Thorpe Audlin for approximately 353 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Darning Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Causeway Garth Lane, Pontefract Road, Thorpe Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th July 2026 between 09.00 hours to 16.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STANSFIELD ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 206) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for tree surgery to remove over hanging branches to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stansfield Road, Castleford for approximately 300 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stansfield Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Wheldon Road, Royds Avenue & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th July 2026 between 09.00 hours to 14.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 207) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation clearance & cabling works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tun Lane, South Hiendley outside Innistree Cottage. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tun Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate Lane, George Street, Tun Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th July 2026 to 15th July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KIRKGATE LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 208) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation clearance & cabling works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kirkgate Lane, South Hiendley from Manor Gardens to Little Elliott Manor. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kirkgate Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate Lane, High Well Hill Lane, Brier Lane, George Street, & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th July 2026 to 15th July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
