(MORLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.16 (PART)) DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above Order, made on 22 June 2026, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath commencing from a point, SE 2290 2868, at its junction with B6135 Wakefield Road, Drighlington, north of 28 Wakefield Road, and proceeding for a distance of 60 metres in a north then north-easterly direction to a point SE 2292 2873, at the junction with the continuation section of Morley public footpath 16, to a new line commencing from a point, SE 2290 2868, at its junction with B6135 Wakefield Road, Drighlington, north of 28 Wakefield Road and proceeding for a distance of 40 metres in a northerly, then north-north-westerly direction on a tarmacadam surface to a point SE 2290 2872, then proceeding for a distance of 26 metres in a north-easterly direction to a point, SE 2292 2873 on an earth surface, thereupon joining with the unaffected section of Morley 16 as shown on the Order Map. The path has a width of 2.0 metres between points SE 2290 2868 and SE 2290 2872, and a width of 1.2 metres between points SE 2290 2872 and SE 2292 2873.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen at Climate Energy and Green Spaces Reception, Farnley Hall, Hall Lane, Farnley, LS12 5HA (reference 241832), from 8.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday and also at Morley Community Hub and Library, Commercial Street, Morley, Leeds, LS27 8HZ during normal opening hours until 23 July 2026. Copies of the Order and Map may also be viewed online www.leeds.gov.uk/PROWorders or obtained by emailing prow@leeds.gov.uk.
Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Public Rights of Way, Farnley Hall, Hall Lane, Leeds LS12 5HA, or by email to PROW@leeds.gov.uk (Quoting reference 241832), not later than 23 July 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Leeds City Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it. DATED 25 June 2026
