What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C52 TIBBERTON LANE (TIBBERTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C52 Tibberton Lane Road from a point at Tibberton Brook to outside of the property known as ‘Lowlands’ for a distance of approximately 500 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Network Plus

The said road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 13th July 2026 until 15:30hrs on 14th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U45651 MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD (TEWKESBURY TOWN) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U45651 Mount Pleasant Road from its junction with Barton Road to outside of the property known as ‘Elizabeth Wyatt House’ for a distance of approximately 20 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water

The said road is expected to be closed from 19:00hrs on 15th July 2026 until 06:00hrs on 16th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS EUL23 AND EUL24 (MATSON, ROBINSWOOD AND WHITE CITY WARD) GLOUCESTER CITY

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath EUL23 and EUL24 as described in the schedule below;

Schedule
Part Public Footpath EUL 23 from a point 10 metres north east of its junction with public footpath EUL 24 extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 320 metres to its junction with Winnycroft Lane.

Part of Public Footpath EUL 24 from its junction with Winnycroft Lane extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 240 metres to it junction with public footpath EUL 24.

The paths fall within the Wards of Matson, Robinswood and White City within Gloucester City, Gloucestershire.

The closures are necessary to protect the public construction of a new housing development takes place

The Order will come into force on the 6th July 2026, and it is anticipated that the Public Footpaths will close on that day until 6th February 2027. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

TEMPORARY FOOTWAY/BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE – 680089 THE ASH PATH (GLOUCESTER BRIDLEWAY 62) (ABBEYDALE WARD) GLOUCESTER CITY

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 680089 The Ash Path (Gloucester Bridleway 62) from its junction with the Wheatway to its junction with Ashton Close for a total distance of approximately 350 metres;

The reason for the said closure is for to allow for footpath and Cycleway resurfacing.

The said footway/bridleway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 15th July 2026 until 16:00hrs on 31st July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EBR 27 (BROOKTHORPE WITH WHADDON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the Public Footpath EBR 27 from its junction with Naas Lane extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 302 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EBR 33. The closure is necessary to safeguard the public due to a footpath being obstructed by construction and associated bunding for a fishing lake. The said Public Footpaths fall within Brookthorpe with Whaddon Parish in the Stroud District, within the County of Gloucestershire.

The said Order came into force on the 23rd January 2023, and works were expected to have been completed on the 22nd July 2023. However, the works were not completed, the Secretary of State subsequently granted an extension until 23rd July 2026. The works are still ongoing, therefore the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension until 23rd July 2028 or until the works are completed, whichever is earliest.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U48050 ACCESS ROAD TO GALLAGHER RETAIL PARK (UCKINGTON PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U48050 Access Road to Gallagher Retail Park from its junction with Tewkesbury Road to its junction at the Retail Park junction for a distance of approximately 110 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works linked to the M5 Junction 10 Highway Improvement Scheme

The said road is expected to be closed on from 2nd July 2026 until 2nd February 2027 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
