What is happening?
REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
FESTIVAL OF THRIFT (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Not less than 7 days herefrom the Council intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the schedule below. Diversion routes will be in place prior to the event. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
The Order will come into operation at 00.01 hours on 3.7.26 for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a relevant event and will remain in operation until 12:00 hours on 6.7.26.
The restrictions will only apply at such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

Plantation Road, Kirkleatham Village from Walled Garden to junction of Kirkleatham Lane Kirkleatham Lane, Kirkleatham Village from A1042 Kirkleatham Lane to St Cuthbert’s Church.
