An order has been made to close the following streets: (1) Pontefract Road, Cundy Cross - road closure from the junction with Grange Lane for a distance of 200 metres in a south-westerly direction. An alternative route is available via Pontefract Road/Harborough Hill Road/Sheffield Road/Doncaster Road/Stairfoot Roundabout/Grange Lane. (2) Grange Lane – road closure from the junction with Pontefract Road for a distance of 200 metres in a southerly direction. An alternative route is available via Pontefract Road/Harborough Hill Road/Sheffield Road/Doncaster Road/Stairfoot Roundabout/Grange Lane. (3) Grange Lane – one-way road closure from the junction with Pontefract Road for a distance of 100 metres in a southerly direction, allowing traffic to travel in a northbound direction only from Stairfoot towards Cundy Cross. An alternative route is available via Pontefract Road/Harborough Hill Road/Sheffield Road/Doncaster Road/Stairfoot Roundabout/Grange Lane. (4) Rotherham Road - one way closure from the junction with Pontefract Road for a distance of 200 metres in a north-westerly direction, allowing traffic to travel from Rotherham Road towards Cundy Cross only. An alternative is available via Meadow View/Littleworth Lane/Pontefract Road. (5) Pontefract Road, Lundwood road closure between the junction with Grange Lane and the entrance to the Priory Campus car park. An alternative is available via Rotherham Road/Meadow View/Littleworth Lane. (6) Pontefract Road, Lundwood – road closure between the junction with Littleworth Lane and the entrance of the Priory Campus car park. An alternative is available via Rotherham Road/Meadow View/Littleworth Lane. The closures will be in place from 28 June 2026 for approximately one week, between the hours of 1830 and 2300. The one-way restriction on Windermere Road will be revoked whilst the closure is in place (6) Windermere Road – between Belgrave Road and Queens Road. An alternative route is available via Queens Road/Harborough Hill Road Southbound off-slip road/Pontefract Road/Bala Street. The one-way restriction on Windermere Road will be revoked whilst the closure is in place (7) Kendray Street – full closure between Pontefract Road and Schwabisch Gmund Way. An alternative is available via Harborough Hill Road/Old Mill Lane/Eldon Street North/Schwabsich Gmund Way (8) Kendray Street – one way closure eastbound only between Pontefract Road and Schwabisch Gmund Way. An alternative is available via Harborough Hill Road/Old Mill Lane/Eldon Street North/Schwabsich Gmund Way (9) Kendray Street – one way closure westbound only between Pontefract Road and Schwabisch Gmund Way.
