What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 22/06/26 the Council made The Angus Council (Wishart Arch Defenders Loyal Orange Order Parade at Forfar) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) Order 2026, under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, for the purpose of public safety and convenience for the public attending or participating in a procession. The effect of the order is to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles in John Street, Market Street, North Street, East High Street, The Cross, Castle Street and Myre Road, Forfar on the basis of a “rolling” road closure, all under the control of Stewards or a police officer in uniform. The Order will come into force on 27/06/26 between the hours of 8.15am and 10am. Access for pedestrians and vehicles will be maintained. There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
