NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE BIRKENHEAD AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).

The effect of the temporary order and the date the order comes into force, and its maximum duration is set out below.

St John Street and Catherine Street (Temporary Road Closure)

Birkenhead Order 2026

The general nature and effect of this temporary order will be to close both St John Street and Catherine Street from Grange Road to Oliver Street to all vehicular traffic.

Alternative Route: Horatio Street.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 6 July 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE MEOLS AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Greenwood Road (Temporary Road Closure) Meols Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Greenwood Road, Meols at its junction with Birkenhead Road for a distance of 60 metres in a north easterly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Dovepoint Road, Birkenhead Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 15 July 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 July 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE NOCTORUM AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Ormond Way (Temporary Road Closure) Noctorum Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Ormond Way, Noctorum at its junction with Ossett Close to its junction with Olivia Close to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: A temporary access road will be constructed between Olivia Close and Eastview Close with the diversion in place of Olivia Close, Eastview Close, Noctorum Avenue.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 12 August 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 October 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE UPTON AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Moreton Road (Temporary Road Closure) Upton Order 2026

The general nature and effect of this temporary order will be to:

(1) Close Moreton Road at its junction with The Woodlands for a distance of 250 metres in a southerly direction to all vehicular traffic.

    Alternative Route: Upland Road, Manor Drive, Upton Road, Upton By-pass.

(2) Close Moreton Road from a point of 100 metres south from its junction with Upland Road for a distance of 130 metres in a southerly direction to all vehicular traffic.

    Alternate Route: Upton Road, Upton By-pass.

(3) Close Moreton Road at its junction with Old Greasby Road for a distance of 170 metres in a northerly direction to all vehicular traffic.

    Alternate Route: Upton Road, Upton By-pass.

The above restrictions will only take place during certain times to accommodate phasing of works when necessary for those particular sections of Moreton Road and will not operate for the full duration of the dates advertised.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 20 July 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 August 2026.
