Public Notice - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The GLA Roads (London Borough of Greenwich) (Bus Priority) Consolidation Order 2009 - The A1026 GLA Road (Silvertown Tunnel and Silvertown Tunnel Southern Approach) Variation Order 2026
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 17th June 2026 it made the above-named Order, under sections 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 25th June 2026.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to formalise the extend the northbound bus lane on Silvertown Tunnel Southern Approach/ Silvertown Tunnel by 113 metres at its southern end, to a total length of 1531 metres, starting at a point 113 metres southwest of the southern portal of Silvertown Tunnel northbound. Operating At Any Time, permitting Buses, Dial-a-Ride Buses, Taxis, and Goods Vehicles which the maximum gross weight exceeds 7.5 tonnes.
3. The road which would be affected by the Order is the A1026 GLA Road – Silvertown Tunnel Southern Approach and Silvertown Tunnel in The Royal Borough of Greenwich.
4. A copy of the Order a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at: https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/traffic, and selecting the relevant borough and reference The Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. 5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
