What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

OLD HOLLY LANE, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: A 30mph Speed Limit will be imposed between the junction with Whittington Lane and a point adjacent to the junction with Beech Drive.
Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users while works are in progress.
Order Commences: 30 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 13 July 2026.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
BALLARDS GREEN LANE, ARLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Replacement of decayed telegraph pole works.
Order Commences: 17 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Wood Lane, Tamworth Road, Nuneaton Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.
Contractor: Openreach, Tel: 0370 050 0792.

WISHAW LANE, CURDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to replace decayed telegraph pole.
Order Commences: 14 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 14 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Wishaw Lane, Minworth Road, Kingsbury Road, Wiggins Hill Road, Curdworth Lane and vice versa.

HURLEY LANE, OVER WHITACRE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to replace two decayed telegraph poles.
Order Commences: 15 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 15 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Hurley Lane, Atherstone Road and vice versa.
Contractor: Openreach, Tel: 03700 500792.

WARTON LANE, AUSTREY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Repair/replacement of defective manhole frame and covers.
Order Commences: 17 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Warton Lane, Main Road, Bishops Cleve and vice vera.

CHURCH WALK, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Telegraph pole replacement works.
Order Commences: 16 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 16 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.
Contractor: Quantum TM, Tel: 01724 786286.

BRICK KILN LANE, HURLEY
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from junction with C68 to Green Farm.
Reason for Order: Mains renewal works.
Order Commences: 15 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 5 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: Knowle Hill, Atherstone Road, Atherstone Lane, Wigston Hill, Windmill Lane, Main Road, The Orchard, Baxterley Road, Tamworth Road, Hurley Common and vice versa.
Contractor: Signal TM, Tel: 01562 825557.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
