What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING SHEEP LANE TO A4012 LONDON ROAD VIA POTSGROVE AND CHURCH LANE, POTSGROVE PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPT FOR ACCESS

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To prohibit motor vehicles (except for access) on the following lengths of road in Potsgrove:-

1. Sheep Lane to A4012 London Road Via Potsgrove, full length.

2. Church Lane, full length.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) (Sheep Lane, Potsgrove) Order 2026”

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 16th June 2026, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING HIGH STREET, CLOPHILL - WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Clophill:-

1. High Street, south side, from a point in line with the eastern flank wall of No. 98 High Street and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 17 metres.

To introduce No Stopping on School Entrance Markings from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4:30pm on the following length of road in Clophill:-

2. High Street, south side, from a point approximately 19 metres south-west of the centre of the junction to St Marys C of E Lower School and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 43.5 metres.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of Mid Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.14) Order 2026.

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Silsoe:-

1. Hawthorn Way, north side, from a point in line with the common property boundary between No.5 and No.7 Hawthorn Way and extending in a north-easterly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and approximately 3 metres in width.

2. Hawthorn Way, north side, from a point approximately 6.6 metres northeast of a point in line with the common property boundary between No.5 and No.7 Hawthorn Way and extending in a north-easterly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and approximately 3 metres in width.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Westoning:-

1.  Church Road, north-east side, from a point approximately 3.5 metres northwest of the western flank wall of No.4a Church Road, extending in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 3 metres.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of Mid Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.16) Order 2026.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic

Regulation Order which has the effect as follows: To prohibit entry on the following road in Marston Moreteyne:1.  Woburn Road, from the junction with the Marston Bypass.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Prohibition of Entry) (Woburn Road, Marston Moreteyne) Order 2026”

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic

Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce Parking for Disabled Badge Holders Only on the following lengths of road in Aspley Guise:-

1. San Remo Road, south-east side, from a point in line with the north-eastern flank wall of No. 16 and extending in a south-westerly direction, covering an area of approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2.2 metres in width.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of Mid Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.26) Order 2026.

Please Note:- The restrictions introduced by this Order have been in operation on site for some time under previous provisions. However, it has been identified that an error occurred in the original Order, and as such, this Order is being re-made to accurately reflect and formalise the restrictions as they currently exist on site. There is no change to the extent or effect of the restrictions previously in force. Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026.

On 16th June 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic

Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Gravenhurst:-

1. High Street, north side, from the junction with Recreation Rise and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 99 metres, up to a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.11 High Street.

2. High Street, south-east side, from the end of the layby outside of No.8 High Street and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 16 metres up to the existing school keep clear markings outside of Gravenhurst Academy.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of Mid Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.33) Order 2026.

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026.
