What is happening?
LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LINCOLN, WESTERN AVENUE & BOULTHAM PARK ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 20 (BUS STOP CLEARWAY)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at the following locations:
• Introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions at both junctions of Western Avenue with Boultham Park Road, on the eastern side, extending to the rear of number 231 and the access of number 67.
• Introduce ‘No Waiting between Mon-Fri 8:00am-9:30am to 2:30pm-4:00pm’ restrictions on both sides of the carriageway on Western Avenue, from the junction with Boultham Park Road to number 71a and the rear boundary of 216.
• Introduce ‘No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm on entrance markings’ on the Western side of the carriageway on Western Avenue in the vicinity of number 71a to 73.
Also introducing Bus Stop Clearway, fronting 216 Boultham Park Road, as defined in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. The Bus Stop Clearway will be in operation 24 hours daily and will ensure unrestricted access for scheduled bus services by prohibiting the stopping, waiting and loading of any vehicle except a bus.
Exemptions are included on the no waiting at any time which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.
