Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 27 August 2028.
The effect of the order will be to temporarily restrict pedestrians from that length of Public Footpath No. 118 Chester City which commences at OS grid reference SJ 4074 6619 and runs in a generally Northerly direction for approximately 46 metres to OS grid reference SJ 4073 6623. The closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public due to a collapsed section of wall and to enable repairs to the wall to be undertaken.
An alternative route is available via heading west on Pepper Street then North along St John Street then heading east along Eastgate Street.
The Order into force on 27 August 2024 and would otherwise have ceased on 27 August 2026.
