(BRACKNELL FOOTPATH 5) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in accordance with Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding or to cause or permit any pedestrian to proceed, in any direction along the highlighted section of Bracknell FP5 from the top of the steps off of Doncastle Road (grid reference SU 85289 68865) to Peacock Lane (grid reference SU 85251 68477).
Alternative routes for users affected by the closure of the bridleway will be a temporary route which follows public highways and footways of Peacock Lane, Crutchley Wood, Butler Drive and Browning Copse.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public safety while contractors carry out essential works to clear the footpath of run-off following the recent fire incident
The Order will come into effect on the 1 July 2026 for a period of six months or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs are displayed on the bridleway.
