Temporary Closure of Merriott Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Merriott Road - from the junction with South Street, eastwards for a total distance of 413 metres. This Order will enable Hawk Construction & Utilities Ltd to replace defective reinstatement on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 8th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th July 2026 and last until 15th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
