LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ACCRINGTON ROAD, WHALLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (B6246 Accrington Road and Sydney Avenue, Whalley, Ribble Valley Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting ) Order 2012" insofar as it relates to Item i) of Article 2.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads Whalley Town Centre, Ribble Valley Borough) (Revocations and Introduction of Prohibition of Waiting, Prohibition of Loading, Disabled Parking, Limited Waiting and Goods Vehicle Loading Places) Order 2018" insofar as it relates to Item b) of Schedule 2.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Accrington Road, Whalley, the north side, from a point 14 metres northwest of its junction with the centreline of Sydney Avenue for a distance of 157 metres in an easterly direction;
b) Accrington Road, Whalley, the south side, from a point 79 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Queen Street for a distance of 197 metres in an easterly direction;
c) Bishopswood Close, Whalley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Accrington Road for a distance of 8 metres in a southerly direction;
d) Canterbury Court, Whalley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Accrington Road for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
