What is happening?

M1 J29 INTERCHANGE / A617, HEATH
WHEN: 10 July to 11 July 2026 (20:00 to 06:00).
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past works), from M1 J29 interchange in its entirety and the A617 Chesterfield Road from M1 J29 Interchange to its Jct. with Mansfield Road, Doe Lea.
REASON: To facilitate annual highway maintenance works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire - 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past works).
