What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
FACTORY STREET, CHESTERFIELD

WHEN: 13 July to 26 July 2026
WHERE: Factory Street, Chesterfield from a point 15m south of its Jct. with the A619 Chatsworth Road for a distance of 47m in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate drainage service connection works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - A619 Chatsworth Road, West Bars Interchange, Boythorpe Road, Dock Walk, Goyt Side Road, Factory Street. Anti-clockwise - Factory Street, Goyt Side Road, Dock Walk, Boythorpe Road, West Bars Interchange, A619 Wheatbridge Road / Chatsworth Road.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
