THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 39 (PART) –
PARISH OF CHINLEY, BUXWORTH AND BROWNSIDE) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2018
On 17 July 2025 Derbyshire County Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the whole width of that part of Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Public Footpath No. 39 commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 0486 8384) and proceeding in a generally north easterly direction to Point B (GR SK 0495 8404), a total distance of 218 metres or thereabouts to a 2 metre wide natural surfaced public footpath at Bradshaw House Farm in Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish, commencing from the aforementioned Point A (GR SK 0486 8384) and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to Point C (GR SK 0494 8384), and then continuing in a generally north easterly direction to Point D (GR SK 0497 8395), a total distance of 190 metres or thereabouts and a 1.2 metre wide textured concrete surfaced public footpath at Bradshaw House Farm in Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish commencing from the aforementioned Point D (GR SK 0497 8395) proceeding in a generally north north westerly direction then east north easterly direction to Point E (GR SK 0496 8396), a total distance of 9 metres or thereabouts as shown on the order map. The order came into force on 01 August 2025 but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of those purposes under Section 119 of Highways Act 1980 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published.
