(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council HAS MADE an ORDER, under Sections 14 and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:
To continue the effects of THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (GREASLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH 62) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) NOTICE 2026.
That Notice came into force on 5 th June 2026.
The effects are that:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of footpath at Greasley in the Borough of Broxtowe:-
Greasley Footpath No.62 in the section alongside the sewage works
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available for pedestrians will be as follows:-
No direct alternative route available via Public Rights of Way.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above highway or highways will apply as follows:-
To 4th December 2026 inclusive.
The Continuation Order will come into force on 26th June 2026 and any prohibition contained in the continued Order shall apply on that day and on any subsequent day or days when it shall be necessary for the prohibition to apply to enable works to be carried out and the Order shall continue in full force until the works it is proposed to carry out are completed The duration of this Order may be extended with the approval of the relevant Secretary of State.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety due to a landslip.
