HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel Awdurdod Priffyrdd Porthcawl, drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn a fydd yn cyflwyno'r cyfyngiad dros dro a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. 

Mae’r Gorchymyn er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd er mwyn hwyluso’r gwaith o baratoi a chynnal ras 10K Porthcawl pan fydd tua 4600 o bobl yn rhedeg trwy strydoedd y dref. 

Hefyd, mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn sicrhau iechyd a diogelwch pobl sy’n mynychu’r digwyddiad ac yn gweithio yn y digwyddiad, yn ogystal â thrigolion yr ardal leol.

Bydd cyfyngiadau tynnu cerbydau yn berthnasol ar hyd New Road, ar y darn lle mae cyfyngiadau Dim Parcio yn berthnasol. 

Daw'r Gorchymyn i rym ar 01/07/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o 18 mis neu hyd nes bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau, p'un bynnag sydd gynharaf. 

Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 05:00 a 16:00 rhwng 04/07/2026 a 05/07/2026. 

Atodlen-Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd deithio ar hyd yr Esplanade, Esplanade Avenue, Mary Street, The Portway, Promenâd y Dwyrain, New Road (cyfyngiadau Cau a Thynnu Cerbydau), Heol y Traeth, John Street, South Road, Locks Lane, Mallard Way, Rhodfa’r Gorllewin, Dim Parcio rhwng cylchfan Griffin Park a chylchfan Mackworth Road. 

Llwybr Gwyro Dros Dro: Yn unol â’r arwyddion lleol.Bydd mynediad yn cael ei ddarparu trwy’r cyfyngiad ar gyfer yr Heddlu, y Gwasanaeth Tân a'r Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans sy'n ymateb i argyfyngau. 

Bydd mynediad ar gael i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau diffiniedig gydol y cyfnod cau.Fodd bynnag, ni fydd y cyfyngiadau’n berthnasol ond ar yr amser ac i’r graddau a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a bennir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddydau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL 
(PORTHCAWL 10K) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Porthcawl in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below. 

The Order is in the interest of public safety to facilitate the build, break and running of the Porthcawl 10K race which will see approximately 4600 runners take to the streets of the town. 

It is also required for the health and safety of those attending and working at the event and the residents in the surrounding area. 

Tow-away restrictions will apply along New Road, on section where No parking restrictions apply. 

The Order will come into force on 01/07/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. 

It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 05:00 and 16:00 from 04/07/2026 to 05/07/2026. 

Schedule-No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the Esplanade, Esplanade Avenue, Mary Street, The Portway, Eastern Promenade, New Road (Closure and Tow-Away restrictions), Beach Road, John Street, South Road, Locks Lane, Mallard Way, West Drive, No Parking between Griffin Park R/A to Mackworth Road R/A. 

Temporary Diversion Route: Diversion as locally signed. Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. 

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
