Somerset Council Parish of Kingsbury Episcopi Temporary Closure of Thorney Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Thorney Road - from 60 metres north of the junction with The Avenue, northwards for a total distance of 94 metres. This Order will enable Southwest Overhead Services Ltd to carry out pole replacement works on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 8th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th July 2026 and last until 17th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
