UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

PICKLEPYTHE LANE, BACK LANE, ROAD AND UNNAMED ROAD FROM CLAY LANE TO THE GREEN, PARISH OF BEENHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Picklepythe Lane in Beenham between its junction with The Strouds to property known as ‘Fernwoods and Back Lane in Beenham between its junction with Stoneyfield to property known as ‘Fernwoods’ and Unnamed Road from Clay Lane to The Green in Beenham between its junction with Clay Clane and The Green.

The closures will take place in sections; closure points will be advertised on site at the time of each closure section.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order will vary depending on the exact length to be closed and will be signed on site for the duration of the closure.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for M Group Ltd to install a potable water main and to discounted/abandonment of the existing 4" cast iron water main on behalf of Thames water and any additional
collaborative utility works.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 15th June 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 15th June 2026 and 1st September 2026.


(BERE COURT ROAD, PANGBOURNE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Bere Court Road in Pangbourne between its junction with Pangbourne Hill and its
junction with Green Lane.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Bere Court Road, Gardeners Lane, Unnamed Road from Buckhold Hill to Yattendon Road, Yattendon Road, Pangbourne Hill and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to repair a leak.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st July 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 08:00 and 17:00 on 1st July 2026.

(OXFORD STREET, HUNGERFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Oxford Street in Hungerford between its junction with The Laurels and its junction
with Waram Close.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via A338 Wantage Road, A4 Charnham Street and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Openreach to clear blockages.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th June 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 30th June and 2nd July 2026.


(THORNFORD ROAD, CROOKHAM COMMON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Thornford Road in Crookham Common between its junction with Crookham Common Road and its junction with A339 Basingstoke Road.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Crookham Common Road, Crookham Hill, Burys Bank Road, Pinchington Lane, A339 Newtown Road, A339 Basingstoke Road and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to install new mains and service connections.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th June 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 29th June and 3rd July 2026.


(HORN STREET, COMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Horn Street in Compton between its junction with High Street and its junction with
Hockram Road.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via High Street, Cheap Street, Hockram Road and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to install new service connection.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th June 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 29th June and 3rd July 2026.

(NEWBURY STREET/KINTBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Newbury Street in Kintbury between its junction of Station Road to its junction with Burtons Hill.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Holt Road, Unnamed Road from Holt Road to Tinkers Corner, Forbury Lane, Blandys Hill, Inkpen Road, Station Road, Newbury Street and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for BT Openreach to carry out cable recovery works.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st July 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 1st and 3rd July 2026, between the hours of 19:00-06:00.


(ROTTEN ROW HILL, ROTTEN ROW AND BISHOPS ROAD, TUTTS CLUMP, PARISH OF BRADFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Rotten Row, Tutts Clump, Bradfield between outside property known as Keepers Cottage to outside property known as Fourways to outside Willow Tree Cottage, and Rotten Row Hill, Tutts Clump, Bradfield between its junction with Rotten Row and its junction with Bishops Road, and Bishops Road, Tutts Clump, Bradfield between its junction with Rotten Row and its junction with Cock Lane.

The closures will take place in sections; closure points will be advertised on site at the time of each closure section.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order will vary depending on the exact length to be closed and will be signed on site for the duration of the closure.

(LAMBOURN FOOTPATH 6, LAMBOURN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS, CYCLISTS AND EQUESTRIANS) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any use of the following footpath, namely Lambourn Footpath 6, between its junction with Brockhampton Road and its junction with
Lambourn Byway 47.

There is no alternative route for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians and vehicles affected by this order.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the footpath, namely for SSE to carry out network improvements upgrades of the local substation to improve the local network to ensure the supply of the Lambourn area.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st July 2026 it is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 1st July 2026 and 1st January 2027.

(TIDMARSH LANE, TIDMARSH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Tidmarsh Lane in Tidmarsh between its junction with A340 The Street and its
junction with Gardeners Lane.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Gardeners Lane, Unnamed Road from Buckhold Hill to Yattendon Road, Yattendon Road, Pangbourne Hill, A340 Tidmarsh Road, A340 The Street and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out boundary box exchange.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 24th June 2026. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 24th and 26th June 2026.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can
