BARTHOLOMEW STREET, BRIDGE STREET, MANSION HOUSE STREET, MARKET PLACE, NORTHBROOK STREET AND WHARF STREET, NEWBURY (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES)
(10:00AM TO 11:00PM) (EXPERIMENTAL) REVOCATION ORDER 202[ ]


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL PROPOSES to make the above order under Sections 9 and 10 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the Act) and all other enabling powers
the effect of which is to revoke the West Berkshire District Council, Bartholomew Street, Bridge Street, Mansion House Street, Market Place, Northbrook Street and Wharf Street. Newbury (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) (10:00am to 11:00pm) (Experimental) Order 2025 in its entirety.

Copies of the draft order, revoked order and explanatory statement can be inspected during the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday at the offices of West Berkshire District Council, Council Offices Market Street Newbury Berkshire RG14 5LD. These documents are also available for view and comment on the Council’s website at www.westberks.gov.uk/ped-trial-reinstate or by scanning the QR code opposite.  All objections and other representations relating to the proposed order should be submitted via the online survey (link above) or sent in writing to the undersigned, quoting reference 2526PEDETRO by no later than Friday 3rd July 2026.
All objections to the proposed order MUST specify the grounds on which they are made.
