SELBY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, SNAITH
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Selby Road Level Crossing, Snaith and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 21 July 2026 at 22.30 hours until 22 July 2026 at 05.30 hours for the purposes of annual level crossing testing works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Selby Road, Beast Fair, Cowick Road, Goole Road, Snaith Road, High Street, Rawcliffe Road, Drax Road Roundabout, Drax Road, River Aire to Drax Power Station, Camblesforth to Drax Power Station, Station Road and River Aire to Carlton. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic and to pedestrians.
