SNAITH ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, RAWCLIFFE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Snaith Road Level Crossing, Rawcliffe and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 22 July 2026 at 22.30 hours until 23 July 2026 at 05.30 hours for the purposes of annual level crossing testing works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Snaith Road, road under level crossing, Post Office Row, High Street, The Green, Rawcliffe Road, Drax Road Roundabout, Drax Road, River Aire to Drax Power Station, Camblesforth to Drax Power Station, Selby Road, Brigg Lane, Camblesforth Road, Bawtry Road, Selby Bypass, Doncaster Road, Main Road, West Lane, Chapel Haddlesey to Burn, Eggborough Bypass to Chapel Haddlesey, Eggborough Bypass, Weeland Road, Broach Road, Broach Lane, Gowdall Broach, Pontefract Road, Shearburn Terrace, Beast Fair, Cowick Road, Goole Road and Mill Lane, West Haddlesey CP, Barlow CP, Camblesforth CP, Newland CP, Brayton CP, Pollington CP, Hensall CP, Long Drax CP, Burn CP, Airmyn CP, Heck CP, Rawcliffe CP, Snaith and Cowick CP, Drax CP, Gowdall CP, Chapel Haddlesey CP, Eggborough CP, Kellington CP, Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic and to pedestrians.
