PART OF STADDLETHORPE BROAD LANE AND ENTIRE LENGTH OF SPARROWCROFT LANE, BLACKTOFT
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Staddlethorpe Broad Lane from its junction with Thornton House Access Road to Sparrowcroft Lane and the entire length of Sparrowcroft Lane, Blacktoft commencing 20 July 2026 at 08.00 hours until 24 July 2026 at 17.00 hours for the purposes of installing ducting and chambers for the new BDUK fibre network on behalf of Quickline Communications works. (Road to be closed in sections and re-opened on completion of the works). The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Staddlethorpe Broad Lane, Station Road, Scalby Lane, Clementhorpe Road, B1230 Main Road, Greenoak Lane and Blacktoft Lane, Laxton CP, Gilberdyke CP, Blacktoft CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The roads will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
