THORPE ROAD, HOWDEN
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Thorpe Road,Howden between 21.00 hours and 05.30 hours (nights only) commencing 6 July 2026 until 10 July 2026 to allow works for the construction of a new roundabout, for the Howden relief road project at Thorpe Road, Howden. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Holme Road, Caville Hall Internal Access Road, Welham New Bridge, Howden Road, Moor End, New Road, Market Weighton Road, Gallymoor Roundabout, Shipton Lane, Shiptonthorpe

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but
access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
